About Kate
rebelgetwell

I’m Kate Santos, Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner, Mind-Body Practitioner and Holistic Lifestyle Coach.
My mission is simple and unapologetic:
to wake people up to the fact that what we call “normal life” is quietly stealing their health – and to show them how to take it back.
We live in a world where:
- Working yourself into the ground is praised.
- Ultra-processed food is cheaper than real food.
- Chronic stress is expected.
- And as long as something is legal, we assume it must be safe.
I don’t buy that story. And deep down, neither do you.
Over the years, I’ve watched anxiety, depression and burnout explode, especially in younger generations. Global data shows a sharp rise in mental health struggles, with anxiety and depression increasing significantly during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. People are exhausted, inflamed, in pain, and feeling like a stranger in their own body.
My work exists in this gap.
I don’t diagnose or treat disease — that role belongs to your medical doctor.
I identify hidden stressors and misalignments in your body and lifestyle using functional lab testing, then help you rebuild your daily life so your body can finally do what it’s designed to do: heal, regulate, and feel good.
I’m here to:
Help you see your body as a temple, not a problem.
Help you understand the why behind your symptoms.
Guide you through the messy, uncomfortable, beautiful process of changing how you live
– so you can change how you feel.
My story
My passion for this work wasn’t born in a classroom — it was born in my body.
I grew up struggling with my weight. As a teenager, that struggle shifted from something external into a more internal relationship with my body.
My entire identity shifted into one obsession:
controlling my body at any cost.
By the time I reached adulthood:
- I was counting calories obsessively
- Feeling guilty every time I ate
- Eating emotionally when I couldn’t hold myself together
- Overexercising or under-eating
- Sleeping too little
- Numbing myself with parties and distractions
- Ignoring my emotional world completely
I wasn’t overweight anymore —
but I was not healthy at all…
My symptoms started piling up:
- Anxiety
- Panic attacks
- Emotional fragility
- Short temper and irritability
- Feeling like a ticking time bomb
- Trauma resurfacing like a tiger from nowhere
- Fatigue so deep I could barely function
- Addictions
This is when my healing journey began — inside and out.
And the deeper I went, the more I realized:
I cannot keep what I learned to myself.
People deserve to know there is another way to live.
Rebelgetwell was born from the belief that we are not meant to feel this disconnected, exhausted, anxious, and unwell.
We simply live in a system that never taught us how to take care of ourselves.
Now it’s my mission to change that — one awakened body at a time.
Why I do What I do?
I’ll never forget a moment with a former colleague from my corporate life.
She had been off work because she felt dizzy, weak, and unwell. Later she told me doctors discovered she was diabetic and anemic.
My heart sank, and I expressed how sorry I was she was going through that.
She smiled and said:
“Oh no, it’s okay. I’m 46 already.”
As if that explained everything. As if feeling unwell, losing health, and collecting diagnoses was just… what happens.
I was speechless.
That moment burned into my mind as proof of how deeply we’ve been conditioned to believe that feeling awful is just part of adult life.
I don’t accept that.
And I don’t want you to accept it either.
My Method
Listen to your body's signals
Your symptoms are not the enemy. They’re signals pointing at deeper imbalances – in hormones, digestion, energy production, detoxification, nervous system, and lifestyle.
Use functional lab testing to find hidden stressors
We run targeted functional labs to see what’s really going on under the surface – where your body is overworked, under-supported, or out of balance. No guessing games, no generic advice.
Address both physical and mental stress
Stress isn’t just “feeling stressed.” It comes from your job, your sleep, your thoughts, your environment, your relationships, your food, your toxic load, your unresolved emotions – all of it. We identify these stressors and start removing or reducing them.
Co-create a truly practical lifestyle protocol
I build personalized protocols covering:
- Diet and nourishment
- Rest and sleep
- Movement and exercise
- Stress management & nervous system support
- Smart supplementation
You’ll always know what we’re doing and why it matters.
Focus on implementation, not perfection
Knowing what to do isn’t enough.
The hardest part is changing habits you’ve repeated 1,000 times before.
I’m here to support you while you say “no” for the 1,001st time – and finally create new patterns that match the life and health you actually want.
Your body has an innate, intelligent ability to heal — my job is to awaken it.
I don’t chase symptoms one by one.
I treat everything non-specifically, because your body heals systemically.
I don’t try to find “the root cause” of a disease — because the body is far more complex and interconnected than that.
Instead of giving you a pill for every problem, you’ll learn how to support your entire system so your body can solve the problems itself.
This is why people experience improvements across multiple areas at once — not because I “treat everything”, but because their body can finally function as intended.
My view on conventional medicine
I deeply respect conventional medicine.
If you need surgery, emergency care, or acute intervention – hospitals save lives every day.
Modern medicine is exceptional at handling urgent, life-threatening situations — and for that, we are incredibly fortunate.
At the same time, the healthcare system isn’t always designed for long-term, root-cause support. Not because doctors don’t care — but because they work within time limits, protocols, and systems that make it difficult to address every layer of a person’s life.
Often, the focus has to be on managing immediate symptoms and clinical markers. That approach is necessary — but it doesn’t always leave space for deeper questions about lifestyle, stress, nutrition, or how all the pieces connect over time.
When those deeper layers don’t get explored, symptoms are quieted with medications without asking why they appeared in the first place. This is how “healthcare” can become sickcare.
My approach is different:
- I see symptoms as messages, not mistakes.
- I see your body as intelligent, not broken.
- I see you as an active participant in your healing, not a passive patient.
I work alongside the medical system by helping you explore the areas that often fall outside of standard appointments — supporting your body, your habits, and your daily life, so you can move toward real, sustainable health.
…or if you have any questions, I’m happy to hear from you:
